This is an Australian term, but useful everywhere, I think.
Needless to say, the Israeli authorities have already arrested the soldiers who vandalized the statue. Jihadists who destroy Jewish symbols -- or kill Jewish people -- are celebrated by their own side.
When Trump is gone, this is the only thing referring to him that should be left in place in Washington. It's the perfect monument.
This is perhaps less applicable in the US, whose immigrants (even illegal ones) have relatively low crime rates -- but in Europe, the immigrant population commits violent crimes at a much higher rate than the indigenous Europeans do.
I keep needing to remind myself how many people don't know about things like this. The ignorance of most Americans about almost everything outside our own country is pathetic and sometimes frightening.
If this is a "genocide", it's the most incompetent genocide in history.

What a collection! I especially enjoyed the cargo ship reinventing the wheel. I did not know about the high rate of crimes by immigrants in Europe. That seems to be hidden from us or maybe it's just all the Americans who rave about how much better life is in Europe? I once read a funny quote that said, 'Nobody loves American like a legal immigrant.' I have to say of the few that I personally know, that is a very true statement.

Bijoux: It's rather amazing that that headline writer didn't seem to realize sails aren't a new idea.
It's partly that in general crime is much lower in Europe than in the US, plus so many of the immigrants there come from Islamic countries, which is a very different culture to Latin America, where the greater part of ours recently come from. There's a high level of sex crimes and anti-Semitic assaults. After several generations of very low crime, Europeans aren't adapted to coping with it.

Mary: Some medical scientists are trying to get accurate information out there to counter RFK Jr, but I think in the final reckoning it will turn out he did a lot more damage than Trump himself, when you factor in all the extra disease caused by the anti-vaccine nonsense.
