Good ironical clip by Seth. I think I once listened to every one of his podcasts and saw every video. He's slipped to the periphery of my viewings lately, but I am still aware of his online presence.
Paula: An evil or indifferent God would be a lot more plausible, but less useful. Some Christians explain away all the evil and suffering in the world by claiming it's the result of original sin, but it would still take a psychotic God to punish later generations of humans (and all generations of animals) for things that other humans did thousands of years ago -- especially when those perpetrators were mythical characters and not even real.
Anvil: I think it's pretty well done. Whoever made it is worth watching.
So glad I was told, as a five year old, that religion was a fairy tale like Paul Bunyan and the Blue Ox. It saved me from so much guilt and BS. Religion is always the problem, it seems to me.

Individualist, pro-technology, pro-democracy, anti-religion. I speak only for myself and not for any ideology, movement, or party. It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.

A malevolent intelligence maybe. Even weirder is when people say “God is good” when some little thing goes their way…

I'm with Eddie Izzard here...
"I want to commit an original sin, like hitting a badger with a spoon".
Except, despite having a large garden, a night/IR trailcam and a number of spoons I'm stuck with the usual sins which are generally somewhat dull.
I would though like to commit a sin so original that God Himself hadn't thought to outlaw it.
I am though currently wearing mixed fibres and, recently, ate a piece of halibut that was good enough for...
A noble aspiration, if an unusual one.

Good video.
