Individualist, pro-technology, pro-democracy, anti-religion. I speak only for myself and not for any ideology, movement, or party. It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.

Hillary supporters make the best videos! Trump supporters can't figure out how to turn the cameras on.
My understanding is Sen McCain was shot done over North Vietnam. He suffered multiple injuries and landed in a park lake in Central Hanoi with no chance of escape. He was subsequently tortured but refused early repatriation. He is permanently disabled as a result of the torture. He is a war hero in my book or at least a very brave man. This is of course not saying he should have been president (a different issue completely) but as a man of honour Trump even comparing himself to McCain is nauseating. But then Trump is nauseating. McCain and his A-4 copped an unfortunate one over the very epicentre of enemy territory. A lot of that is luck. Bad luck.
May we display your header on our new site directory? As it is now, the site title (linked back to your home page) is listed, and we think displaying the header will attract more attention. In any event, we hope you will come by and see what is going on at SiteHoundSniffs.com.
Nonnie: They lack a touch for humor and satire, that's for sure.
Nick: That's all true. Trump's insult to McCain's war record was one of his first disgusting statements of the campaign, and remains one of the worst.
Jerry: That's OK. I'm not sure about classifying it under "politics", though. I cover a lot of different areas of which politics is only one -- it's true that I've posted a lot about politics in the last few months, but that's just because of the election campaign) can't wait for it to be over so I can get back to other topics).
Okay, what other categories should you be in?
Thank you so very much for giving permission. I think I did better this time. Aside from the All category and the slideshow on the Home page, you can now see your header under Beliefs, Daily Life, Entertainment, Political and the United States.
Okay, what other categories should you be in?
Well, I like to think I transcend all of time and space in my infinite frivolity, but the categories you listed should cover it pretty well.
"What manner of man is this?"
My answer: Everything that is vulgar, ignorant, and vindictive in the most flawed human being.
I remember the right wingers losing their minds when they claimed Barack Obama would "fundamentally change" America, and here their candidate broke all tradition and tainted this campaign with shades of a tin-pot dictator's threat to fundamentally change two plus centuries of American electoral tradition by not accepting the winner of the coming presidential election.
That was the rotten cherry on top of his rancid and poisonous campaign. My only regret is that Canada and Mexico can't vote in this election so that his defeat would be two continents wide.
May he suffer the worst defeat of any candidate I've witnessed in my lifetime, and may we remind his supporters of their foolish loyalty to a colossal jackass all the days of their lives.
Actually Canada and Mexico are also in North America, so that would still only be one continent -- but I'm sure Brazil would vote against him too if we gave them the chance.
His own words keep emphasizing the necessity for a landslide -- a big enough win that claims of "rigging" will have no credibility except with the very stupidest. Today's ElectoralVote.com map is looking good with Arizona and Georgia back in Hillary's camp, if barely.
Any yes, we're going to hang this jackass around their necks for election after election. They will be the "Party of Trump" forever.
oh crikey. I can't believe I wrote that! That's what happens when rage takes over rationality. I still wish Canada and Mexico could vote so that Trump's defeat would sweep an entire continent.
I imagine most of the world is wishing they could vote in this one, considering how it could impact them if Trump were to win.
All the more responsibility to the world that falls on us Americans, who can vote and stop him.
All the more responsibility to the world that falls on us Americans, who can vote and stop him.
This.
And frankly, I am out of patience with those who huff about how they're either not voting or voting third party because "both candidates are the same!!" Really? In what universe? Certainly not this one.
"Both candidates are the same" is sheer self-delusion. No one who is paying attention to reality can believe that.
Do you think Pat Paulsen may have a chance to win as a write-in this time? If he was way before your time, look him up. I think his brand of politics just might tickle your fancy.
His ability to campaign might be a bit limited, due to being dead.
