Thanks for another great mix! I fully agree with the meme about sinners who admit their mistakes. I’d much rather have them around than people who act like saints. People who can admit their mistakes are rare, and they should be cherished.

I’m definitely voting Yes on 40 and No on 41 and 42. Newsom has completely sold out to the tech bros. Let them leave the state, pffft! The anti-Zionism / antisemitism graphic is spot on, sadly…

So many good ones this round! Elephants and Asses Screwing the Masses is my favorite. I've noticed how all the chain restaurants now use Millennial Greige as their colors. Bob Evans is particularly sad to me.

Maybe we should bring out the guillotine. It might certainly scare the living crap out of those who think they are beyond our reach.

Quite a few good ones. I had to snag a couple of them.

Halloween just isn't what it was when we were kids. I hardly ever see kids trick or treating on my street anymore. I doubt this year will be any different.

These are great.

Diana: I find it odd that most people hate admitting mistakes. Do they want everyone else to think they never make mistakes? Everybody knows that everybody makes mistakes.

Paula: Glad you'll be voting yes on 40. It's one of the most important issues in this election, and the latest polling I've seen shows it close.

Bijoux: There's not much to choose between the elephants and the asses any more. Most people don't really like the Democrats, they're voting for them because the Republicans have made themselves even less likeable.

Leanna: The guillotine is a fine old class-war tradition.

Ricko: Thanks -- I noticed you reposted a couple.

Mary: Thanks. Halloween is becoming more and more a thing for adults these days. I guess people's anxieties about kids make them less willing to let them take candy from strangers.

I agree with the first one and if you go back to your old neighborhood and squint into the setting sun you can see you and your friends playing

I’m with Diana -- people who can admit their mistakes are far more genuine than those who pretend to be flawless. Honesty like that is rare and worth appreciating.

I certainly agree. It shows introspection and humility, as well as honesty.

Please be on-topic and read the comments policy. Spam, trolls, and fight-pickers will be deleted. If you don't have a Blogspot account and aren't sure how to comment, please see here. Fair warning -- I reject all comments containing any of the following:

1. Support for transgenderism
2. Negativity about Brexit
3. Support for a military draft or compulsory national service

I am not obligated to provide a platform for views I find morally abhorrent. And obviously I'm going to delete anything which is just quoting what an "AI" said. I want to hear from you, not from the always-wrong hallucination machine.

No comments advocating violence against any specific identifiable individual, even jokingly.

Please be considerate -- no political or politics-tinged comments on non-political posts, and no performative cynicism. Finally, please remember that this is a personal blog whose main purpose is to encourage contact from people with similar interests and world-views to mine. I really don't much care for arguing and debating; if arguing and debating is what you want, there are plenty of other places on the internet which welcome that.

From now until the finalization of the election results, no comments claiming the Republicans (or Democrats) will or can "steal" the election. It's pointless to engage with such stuff, and it promotes defeatism, which makes people less likely to vote or otherwise be politically active.
