Meditation #8 -- liberation
When they built the walls of stone and lies
When the empire of fear and pain took hold
The empire of the blind.
Born into darkness, living in murk
Life decreed empty, peace made a crime
Under the reign of self-prisoned minds
I've never seen the light.
"Thou shalt not see, and thou shalt not know"
Such is the Word, law unto us all
Never to stray from the wasteland, for fear
Of their tedious rage.
But no deathly lie is eternal
Strange eons indeed have come to pass
Arise, arise, and open your eyes
The stars are right again.
From their secret places our mighty ones
Cast forth new spells of color and heat
Kaleidoscopic across the world
Even the blind can see.
In every heart, no matter how dark
A secret hides, a treasure denied
The dance shall quicken, the crystal call
Shall sound across the ice.
Cast down the walls within, breach the dams
Let yourself see what your heart still knows
Arise, arise, and join us in life
And become gods again.

Nice. Your active vocabulary probably goes past my passive one.
This is superb and sorely needed in this time in our national life. I was deeply moved.
And thank you for your vote of confidence in my blog. I have great respect for your work (which now includes your poetry!) and most appreciative of your support.
