I would watch anything with Jane Lynch in it. I could get all weepy and maudlin over this because I have personal understanding of how it was for our LGBT brothers and sisters in the past, and I am so grateful my family members can live openly and with pride, especially for this president and what he has done for the LGBT community.
We really do need to remind everyone of what Willard has said he hopes to do on this issue if he is elected president.
To this day, I cannot understand what motivates Log Cabin Republicans to stay within a party that essentially is repulsed by the LGBT community.
SK: It's an emotional subject, certainly, and horrifying that the right wing is still treating the basic rights of real human beings as a political game-piece. What a nightmare if the haters do win the election.
BB: I have to admit, the popularity of zombies baffles me -- surely vampires are a much more interesting monster. Glad people are having fun with it, though.

Individualist, pro-technology, pro-democracy, anti-religion. I speak only for myself and not for any ideology, movement, or party. It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.

On a completely different subject I have to recommend an article for your weekend roundup of links.
