Portland-area strike update

The Fred Meyer strike (background here) has ended, but negotiations have not yet yielded a satisfactory contract for the workers.  The union is requesting that the public not shop at Fred Meyer until management offers a proper contract, and the stores' acknowledged price-gouging ends.  If that can be achieved, it will benefit everyone.  Negotiations resume this coming Wednesday.

They have a good chance, if the community is supportive.
