Video of the day -- highways in the sky
There is a great beauty in visions like this. Think of the skill and precision it takes to keep all of this traffic flowing safely and in proper order, day after day, year after year. I spent most of my working years as an air traffic controller. Videos like this still fascinate me.
It was a good gig.
Just using plane tracker apps amazes me. It's how you realize that it really is safer to fly than drive!
It's an amazing world we live in.
Fantastic!
John: That's a demanding and important job, keeping the air traffic moving safely -- something to be proud of.
Bijoux: I think many people feel safer driving because they're in control, whereas actually flying is safer because the control is in the hands of experts instead of every idiot who can get a driver's license.
Ricko: It's an amazing world we've made.
Rade: Thanks!

Please be considerate -- no political or politics-tinged comments on non-political posts, and no performative cynicism. I really don't much care for arguing and debating; if arguing and debating is what you want, there are plenty of other places on the internet which welcome that.
