Blogiversary XIX

Today marks nineteen years that I've been doing this blog.  It's become so much a part of my regular routine that it's difficult now to imagine life without it.  It will probably keep going for as long as I'm alive and mentally competent, and for as long as it continues at all to serve its intended purpose.

Also, this is my 4,994th post, although that number is greatly inflated by the fact that in the first few years I did a lot of posts which were just one-liners linking to something I thought was interesting.  I started doing the link round-ups in order to consolidate such links into one post per week rather than an absurd number of mini-posts.
