These two videos have long been favorites of mine. They show starkly the real nature of the hard-core evangelical right, as it came out in their reactions to Trump's defeat. The spectacle is entertaining, even funny, though the danger is clear. Both of these videos were made before the January 6 insurrection, but after watching them, you'll be a lot less surprised that it happened. Some of these people have probably been somewhat chastened by the two years during which Trump remained out of power despite all their ranting and raving, but others have not, and they still walk among us.

Lawdy Lawd Lawd. The kool-ade flows freely among lunatic Jebus freaks.
It's hard to watch these fools - charlatans and con artists come in all forms and these folks are some of the worst.
I heard that most Evangelicals voted for Hershel Walker, a lying philandering Athlete whose own Kids don't Believe him, than for Raphael Warnock, a devoted Man of God who is qualified to actually be a Senator... the fact they have to do a runoff on Dec. 6th is rather chilling, but why am I NOT surprised the Fundies choose Lunatic Fringe sorts every time?
IF A PROPHECY does not come true, they are a false prophet. it's ok to stone a false prophet to death according to the bible
Is Paula White-Cain actually mentally ill? I mean sectionable.
What I seriously don't understand (never have) is why the evangelicals think Trump is one of them. He certainly has very dubious sexual morals and I thought your Holy Rollers big into that sort of thing - or at least pretending. Trump doesn't even attempt to pretend. Does he even go to church?
liars and grifters mourning the orange ferret wearing treason weasel. imho this proves there is no god and never was, no allah no jeebus no jehovah no zeus no god never
Oh those are good.
This behavior would not be hard to fix. Religions' free ride is courtesy of all the taxpayers believes and non. This used to come at a cost, stay out of politics. Pastor put a politicians name in your mouth lose your tax exemption. I think it might be in the constitution already.
Leanna: Hence the name of his channel. They've all drunk deeply of it.
Lady M: It's really only the absurdity that makes it bearable. Hard to imagine that millions take them seriously.
Bohemian: Just look at how so many of their own pastors behave -- endless sex scandals and funny business with money. They've had plenty of practice overlooking corruption and hypocrisy -- hence the ease with which they embraced Trump.
Now Am Found: They'd all be in deep shit if one-tenth of the actual Biblical rules were applied to them. And they're very lucky there's really no God. I think he'd judge their antics and grifting pretty harshly in the afterlife.
NickM: Whether this stuff qualifies as mental illness is kind of a grey area. If she really believes that babbling is "speaking in tongues", she's even more delusional than most of them. As for fundies' glorification of Trump, they have their ways of rationalizing such things.
Mary K: These nutballs' entertainment value is their sole redeeming feature.
Spirilis: If the authorities got serious about enforcing the rules on tax-exempt religious organizations across-the-board, most of these people would take a serious hit. I can't see them having the guts to do that in the near future, though.
Cyrus! Bloody Hell! I clicked your link and am sort of reminded of a truly bizarre internet exchange (I forget where) I had over a certain German Chancellor (elected 1933 - dead 1945). Anyway I made a derogratory comment about the guy who's moustache is never coming back in fashion. Anyway, I got criticised along the lines of, "How dare you disrespect the greatest strategic genius who ever lived!". I was stunned. At some level I can understand why some very nasty people laud the German National Socialists because they agree with their ideology. OK, I get that. I don't approve but obviously if you're an utterly intolerant racist anti-semitic homophobe then yeah, I guess it is logical to have that guy as a hero. But to believe he was a supreme strategist is to deny objective history. Great strategists probably have a few things in common but there is one thing they definitely have in common - they won! Germany in 1945 was an occupied state with most of its major cities reduced to rubble. I have played Sid Meier's Civ series enough to know what victory does and doesn't look like.
Amen brother
I worked with Kris Vallotton about 45 years ago. Same guy then.
NickM: I've had that conversation with a couple of people. A strategic genius wouldn't have led Germany into an all-out war against the British Empire, the Soviet Union, and the United States all at the same time. There is such a thing as biting off more than you can chew. Germany in 1945 was one of the most totally defeated countries the world has ever seen.
Anon: Not the wording I would have chosen, but I agree with the sentiment :-)
Bob: These guys tend to stick with their schtick.
