It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.

Great collection today. Many of these got me angry, some made me laugh and others just shaking my head. I especially like the one about the Bible being full of baby slaughter.
Seen quite a few of these and they are all superb. I know you think religion is waning, but I feel there’s a resurgence and it’s of the most extreme and dangerous variety.
Lady M: I guess they're a representative sample, then -- the world can be infuriating but also funny. And the point about the Bible is beyond dispute.
Mary: Thanks. Religion has gained some political power, but is waning demographically. Ultimately the latter makes the former unsustainable.
