It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.

We know Big Walter is a pig. I wonder how high-pitched his squeal is?
That's not even a good one. No whining about imaginary beings, threats of hell, or unnecessary capitalization of words like "him" or "lord." They need to try harder and get some ideas from their pastors or something.

thank goodness I've been spared this sort of thing. on occasion, I get the types that look like weirdos from a mile away. those I mark as spam, then wonder if I should have left them on for the sake of freedom of speech. above all else, I feel like engaging with them is exactly what they want. maybe if I were more confident about being clever, I might reply so others can see... all in all, tho, I sure do enjoy that spam button...
There's no inherent free-speech right to post a comment on someone else's blog -- a blog is a soapbox for one person, not a discussion forum. Requiring you to make your blog a platform for views you object to would be a violation of your free-speech rights. Anybody whose comment you delete can create their own blog in a couple of minutes and say whatever they want there, so you're not censoring them.
