Individualist, pro-technology, pro-democracy, anti-religion. I speak only for myself and not for any ideology, movement, or party. It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.

Dawwwww, how cute (particularly the baby elephant in the second pic)! Seriously, though, what remarkable animals! I particularly liked the one brushing itself with the broom.
I know you said "enough politics," but in the interest of fairness, I think we need some donkeys here!
Zosimus: They're remarkably smart as well as appealing. I've been up close to one -- it really makes you realize how huge they are.
WH: The elephant is grotesquely wrong to serve as the symbol of the Republican party. They should choose something more appropriate.
Hahaha! Good! I agree that would be a more appropriate symbol for the Repub. party! (Also, those ARE mighty cute elephants.)
"...in the interest of fairness, I think we need some donkeys here!"
Agreed.
But the elephant photos and gif were refreshing in a week of depressing Trumpisms. Oops! Sorry!
Thanks for the elephants.
