gees....youse got that little request to be 'on topic' .... you know that takes some of the fun out of it for me. anyways...been reading your stuff over at Shaw's and wanted to stop her and drop a kudo or so.

I believe it is foolish to gloat; the Conservatives are not going to slink away licking their wounds. They didn't get what they want, which is a permanent Republican oligarchy from here to eternity. They are going to analyze their failures and redouble their efforts, and if anything, it's going to get more ugly.
Octo: Nothing wrong with that. They're horrible, vicious people and whenever they get knocked back it's time to celebrate.

Robert: They certainly took a massive defeat here. More to the point, the teabaggers and the business/establishment types are now openly antagonistic to each other. Their efforts are going to be largely directed against each other for a while, and if the teabaggers keep primarying establishment candidates in favor of nutcases, they're going to lose more winnable seats like they did in 2010 and 2012.
I've always said there's no room for complacency, but there's also no room for cynicism and pessimism. Those things lead to paralysis.
