About Me
- Name: Infidel753
- Location: Portland, Oregon, United States
Individualist, pro-technology, pro-democracy, anti-religion. I speak only for myself and not for any ideology, movement, or party. It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.

I'm not sure I can choose just one!
I can't choose either. They're all so hilariously idiotic. My stomach hurts from laughing so hard.
But I'm going to make a wild guess that they're all TeaPublicans.
Do I win a prize?
#8 has a point, as I too, have never seen a micro organism do ANYthing. Better keep an eye on those micro organisms. Who knows what they're up to?
BTW, the best response I've found to the whole "...why are there still monkeys?" question is this:
If you are descended from your grandparents why do you have cousins?
I have found that nothing else sets people on track to beginning to understand evolution than this simple question. It's my "One Weird Trick".
I know. I've never seen such a collection of idiocy in one place.
Bacopa -- I'm surprised some of them are even intelligent enough to grasp the analogy.
I didn't say my grandparents-cousins analogy always worked, just that it's the only thing that has ever worked, and it is sometimes very effective.
Perfect analogy for a branching tree of life that dispellls a parent-child ladder of progress model of evolution.
