I've always wanted to visit Rio, but my goodness, the way those houses are stacked on top of each other (around 2:30). They look like match boxes glued to the side of a hill. Pretty precarious.

Leslie: Those are what are called the favelas, the slums inhabited by the poor. For all its progress, Brazil still suffers terrible levels of poverty and inequality, though I think the advent of democracy has begun to improve things.

I figured they were the slums but my God!!! I'd hate to think what would happen in case of an earthquake or even a small fire.
