Video of the day -- Bück dich!
This video is dedicated to all those who freaked out at Miley Cyrus's VMA performance. You wusses. I'd like to see this band live someday -- not sure whether I'll sit near the front, though.
Stand with Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan -- with democracy and civilization against tyranny and barbarism

OK, that was different.
Where was this?
Anon: This concert was in Berlin. See how the audience is eating it up (not literally) -- I think Americans would have been reacting a bit differently.
There is a trio of siblings called "Children Medieval Band" that covers Rammstein songs. Their best one is their cover of Ich Will. That four year old drummer really captured the spirit of things.
Rammstein are big fans of CMB and invited them to open for them at a show.
They have videos on Youtube.
I havent heard much of their music recently (Rammstein), I still have an audio tape of their stuff I got from you year's ago. But this is really some impressive production work here as far as live performance, real nice sound engineering and I like that stage lighting set- up on it too, not heavy prop work, but very stunning show- wise ... really clean all around on that.
Yeah, I heard about the Miley deal here and the shock or whatever, I didnt get though to see the performance of her's (yet) ... but I couldnt keep up with the story much because the whining was ridiculous on it, I'm too damn old to have to listen to this relentless bellyaching (sometime's tough it make's a decent entertainment posting for my "Sexploitation Nation" series for humour/ sarcasm) ... but ... that's America fer ya. Berlin Germany is way past us here in America as far as what's acceptable ... I mean ... in America we still trip out on bikini commercial's on the tele or whatever ... every bloody thing offend's American's, aceept when their cruisin porn or whatever in the privacy of their lair's.
I thought it was weird.
Young people today just don't have a high disgust level for this sort of performance. It's just funny for them. I guess.
I don't know if this is healthy or perverse.
Does that say something about me?
Bacopa: Interesting. I assume they don't also enact some of the videos.
Ranch & Shaw: I think the standards are quite different in the US vs. the rest of the developed world (especially non-English-speaking).
The visuals aren't arbitrary. The lyrics to the song are a rumination on the human urge to degrade and debase other people, and the complementary urge to submit to degradation -- so the performance fits rather well.
Strange coincidence - just before I saw this, I heard Du Hast on the radio for the first time in probably 10 years. Miley, you've got nothing on these guys!
Nina: Hmm, maybe Rammstein's making a comeback.
In a lot of European countries, if Miley Cyrus were to do her thing, people would just yawn.
