The worst album covers of all time?

I'm not sure these are the absolute worst ever, but they surely include some strong contenders.

Found via Beware of the Dogma, who points out that "religious groups appear to be overrepresented in the list."

ROFL!!! Eeek! Some of those are frightening. Thanks for confirming my insanity to the rest of my family- they were wondering why I was by myself out here, laughing to tears.

My wife and I were at a book store last Saturday on our "Date Night" and came across a book of the "100 worst Album Covers of All TIme". We were getting a real kick out of it and noticed how many of them were actually Evangelical preachers. One even by the guy we used to enjoy on a regular basis as he was a non-stop source of laughs and "OMG...they can't be serious" moments named Jack Van Impe. He has some kind of fake "news" show he and his Crypt Keeper" wife put on and we laugh the whole time.

Anyway, I just think it is a funny coincidence that you mention it the same week.

There is something weirdly fascinating about these show-biz misfires, isn't there? I have to think the most embarrassing one of all is "Pooh-Man / M.C. Pooh". What on Earth was he thinking?

That ventriloquist dummy thing is evil. You just know it's going to go berserk 30 minutes into the movie and start killing people with a steak knife or something.

Looking at them again, I actually think the most disturbing one is that guy in the cowboy hat making come-hither eyes at the sad-faced young girl. That's just creepy somehow.

But what cracks me up every time is those four guys posing under the title "Let Me Touch Him". Priceless.
