Video of the day -- bullet time
This is physics and energy on a time scale our senses cannot normally perceive. It may be the only video I've ever posted in which nothing alive appears at all -- only inanimate objects. The realm you see here is not meant for living things.

With the advent of digital cameras high-speed photography got cheap. Moving the specialized film was technically difficult. Some inexpensive digital video are capable of what only very expensive cameras could do in the 60s. You can get a really good high-speed video camera, 17,000 fps, for less than $8000. Less capable cameras used to be priced like fancy houses.
There are still plenty of things that haven't been filmed being shot, dropped, or blown up so your hobby might make you some money.
High-speed video is much more common now:

Cameras observing in the infra-red and NIR open up possibilities of recording spectrum , like fine temperature fluctuations, even farther from normal perception.
There is an entire previously unseen world out there to explore and you don't need to be rich to get into it.
Fabulous and fascinating!!
That's very cool to see something that would usually flash by in an instant slowed down so much we can see it well.
I’m just stopping by to see how you're doing and say hello and to let you know I was here. I will check out the video. Wishing you well, my friend. Have a wonderful weekend!
Anon: Yes, there are lots of amazing images out there now, showing us things that used to be too fast to see, or colors we never knew were there. One of the many ways technology makes life more interesting.
Ricko: Thanks! As always, feel free to repost if so inclined.
Mary: Yes, the world has always been full of things too fast to see, but in just the last couple of generations we've become able to see them.
Dellgirl: Thanks. Went to the dentist for a difficult tooth extraction today, then slept through most of the afternoon because of the sedative they gave me for it. Some pain but not as bad as I feared.
