Those millipedes are interesting and scary at the same time. They are so big.
My daughter has an Alexa device for the smart lights in my apartment. I already figured that Amazon was storing everything that we said to it. I figure it's like those OnStar things in some vehicles that can call 911 for you in a crash. They just listen all the time.

Mary: Most people who lived in Pompeii actually got away before the eruption. There was plenty of warning. Many of the people who died were slaves who were ordered to stay, or people who had property they didn't feel safe leaving unguarded. It's usually the least fortunate who suffer.
Bugs in the tropics generally are far too big. I'm glad I don't live there.

In the midst of these tough times, there were many items of interest and encouragement here. Among them was the article about why Musk's space adventure will continue to fail--though it's infuriating that we taxpayers are bailing out what he reportedly knows is a fatal flaw that he won't fix. The piece about Russia's losing the war against Ukraine was again encouraging--despite Trump-the-traitor's doing everything he can to help Putin.
