If that's how the men on this planet dress, you can't blame the women for apparently being more interested in each other

This is in downtown Portland.  I've seen it.  It's built right into the corner of the building just as it looks here.

Farming poses more challenges in some places than others.  One wonders whether it would be worth it.

Great roundup!
That island picture is of Husoy Norway. It's a beautiful place inside a fjord in the northwestern most part of Troms county Norway. Beautiful place.
BTW I do love when you post pictures of beautiful or strange geography. Gets me to wondering, "where the heck is that?"

Tim: "Sofaquarium" -- good neologism. That should be the official word for it.

Sandee: Always glad to provide a few laughs.

Leanna: Thanks for identifying the island. I generally say where such pictures are, if I know (unless it's obvious), but in this case I had no idea. I looked up Husøy and that really is way up in the far north. Must be cold as hell.

Great line-up! The "waving" elephant made me feel good for some reason. The video of the invasion was certainly something else.

Ricko: Animals can seem very human when they imitate our gestures.

Those farmers need to invest in a better force field, or the world's biggest can of Raid.

"Richard": You accused me of lying about having suicidal impulses (something regular readers know I've been struggling with for years) and mocked my grief over the death of my mother. The mere passage of time changes nothing. Permabanned is permabanned. Fuck off.

Agate is so pretty. Having a metal rod right between the two doors is kinda dumb, of course people are going to walk right into it.

I was gone all this week from the internet because my brother was in town. I'm back now and trying to catch up.

The colors and patterns in some minerals are remarkable.

That rod does seem weird. I can see it's two doors side by side, but all the rod does is stop people from carrying anything large through them.
