In 1996, a rocket malfunctioned at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in China. The regime claimed there were only six deaths, but the real toll was probably far worse.

Well, this is quite creepy—especially as today’s news seems to be revealing turmoil in various world hot spots. Do you mind my asking if you just came across it, Infidel? Or were you searching for something else and this popped up? A possible vanished village! And life goes on…What village?

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the name of the village given anywhere. This article has more information about the disaster. Both the incompetence involved and the effort to cover things up afterwards are pretty typical for China.
