Halloween draws near!
The sacred night is barely a week away.....
.....fear is in the air.....
.....and there's nowhere to hide.
There's still time to shop for a few last items.....
.....though you may need to go a long way to find exactly what you want.
You can go all-out to observe the day.....
.....or watch spooky movies on TV.....
.....or just read a good (or evil) book.
Everybody gets to join in!
So decorate the house.....
.....pick out a costume.....
.....perhaps welcome back an old friend who's been away for a while.....
.....or head off down the street.....
.....for a romantic rendezvous.
Or just go completely batty.....
.....and let the night cast its spell.

On work days there is likely to be a substantial delay in approving comments, since I can't do blog stuff in an office. For this I apologize.
Fun Halloween photographs. Love them.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. ♥
Time to read the Necronomicon again ?
ReplyDeleteSandee: Thanks -- for such a holy day, one can do no less.
ReplyDeleteAnon: "again"?
Skeletons have certainly been predominant as a decoration lately. I keep seeing them in the passenger seats of cars. Not my cup of tea, but more power to those who enjoy that sort of thing.
ReplyDeleteNiiice! This is one hell of a great gallery.
ReplyDelete(And yes, I am doing another "Good Witch" illo this year for Halloween, although she is part of an 'OCtober' challenge for this month--'OC' being 'Original Character' and doing one a day each day for the month of October--or trying to!)
I love Halloween decorations. I don't see a lot of people around here decorating for Halloween anymore.
ReplyDeleteBijoux: Well, that's better than them being in the driver's seat, I suppose.
ReplyDeleteMarc: Thanks! And I'll watch for the witch.
Mary K: It's not so common where I live, either. At least I always decorate the blog.
Great post! Lots of scary stuff.
ReplyDeleteFun, especially the narrative. Halloween is no longer a big deal in our neighborhood. My own favorite memory as a trick or treater was of the man who jumped out from behind his door, shouted “Boo!,” and gave each of us a quarter—a munificent act that inspired loyalty for yearly visits.
ReplyDeleteRicko: Thanks! I hope they're not too terrifying, but it is for Halloween.
ReplyDeleteAnnie: Thanks! It's unfortunate that Halloween seems to be becoming less of a thing for kids. Most of the costumes I see on the net these days are for adults. I think of it partly as entry-level cosplay.
A quarter would have been quite an incentive. I'm sure everybody had more than enough candy already.
What a fabulous collection of Halloween images. A real feast for the eyes.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Glad you've at least got enough internet connectivity not to miss Halloween posts.
