  1. Some really good ones, but I especially love the very last one. I actually feel my Mother was the only one who truly loved me deeply and unconditionally…besides my pet doggies.

  2. Wow, these sure gave everyone something to think about. The thing is, they are so true.

  3. Mary: I felt that way too. And always remember, while an animal may love you sincerely, it's only capable of knowing you on a rather limited level. In most cases your mother knows you better that anyone else does.

Mary K: Thanks! I always hope to make people think.

  6. Nick: Yes, that's the fad these days. Everybody wants to be special, and at the current moment, the way to be special is to be more oppressed and downtrodden than the next guy. Lots of people -- maybe most -- do have genuine trauma, of course, but it can't be treated as a permanent exemption from the obligation to refrain from traumatizing other people.

Spirilis: No doubt the true oligarchs will soon insist that the peons (or pee-ons, in this case) carry them up the ladder.

Please be on-topic and read the comments policy. Spam, trolls, and fight-pickers will be deleted. If you don't have a Blogger account and aren't sure how to comment, see here. Fair warning: anything even remotely supportive of transgender ideology, or negative toward Brexit, or supportive of a military draft or compulsory national service, will be deleted and result in a permanent ban. On work days there is likely to be a substantial delay in approving comments, since I can't do blog stuff in an office. For this I apologize.
