Video of the day -- and now they can dance


A few years ago, I did a couple of posts on how close robotics was getting to equaling the agility and balance of the human body.  Based on this video, I'd say we're there.  Found via Fair and Unbalanced.

  3. I was going to post what Debra posted. But that said, I wonder how long it took someone to program those moves and then edit the video. I not taking away from how good the robots move, but the dance moves were obviously not their own. When they can dance like that on their own, that's when things get really scary.

    Mike: It did occur to me to wonder if there were, say, some falls that were edited out. But no, of course robots don't have minds of their own. The point here is the range of motion capabilities that's been achieved.

    Lady M: Can't wait to see what they come up with next.
