You know, I wish the Progressives would drop this dog-on-the-car-roof schtick. In the larger scope of debate, this incident is not relevant but instead comes across as petty and a silly distraction from Romney's more significant policy thinking disconnect and clueless gaffs. We can do better.
RtS: It's highly relevant. A person capable of such cruelty has something profoundly wrong with him and shouldn't be trusted with power, even if there were nothing particularly wrong with his policy positions.
Ahab: Exactly, though I think it's something more disturbing than just idiocy.

Individualist, pro-technology, pro-democracy, anti-religion. I speak only for myself and not for any ideology, movement, or party. It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.
