The right-wing activist-fringe blogosphere was boiling over with this kind of shit for days after Kirk was shot.  See my analysis of right-wing fantasies of violence.  There has been one incident of actual violence in the aftermath.  Here's the latest on the Kirk shooter's motive, but the narrative has already changed multiple times and may well do so again.

The official inflation figures, calculated based on the prices of a large hypothetical "basket" of goods, bear no resemblance at all to the real price increases on the much more limited range of things that ordinary people actually buy.  They never have.  They're pretty much irrelevant.
