Seafury: I agree, though generally I don't care for long videos. This premise has a lot of potential. And it would have been cool to see the nasty lady meet all those, er, things, though I can see why a true artist would leave that to the viewer's imagination.
Nice! I laughed out loud with "Go ahead and open it."
Oddly enough, at this very moment we've allowed a crew of 30+ film students to take over our house for a day. They're making a short rom-com. I'll be sending the director a link to this when they're done.
NickM: I've heard people make that argument. The phenomena being studied in the video, however, would be described as "supernatural" under the common meaning of the word.
CAS: Indeed, she was treating the scientist in charge (did anyone else notice that her name sounded like "Cain"?) as callously as she herself had treated her unconsenting experimental subject. What happened next might well have been quite a show. The more you look at those dark things in the chamber, the creepier they get.
Good idea about the link, just make sure he or she knows this one isn't a "rom-com".

Individualist, pro-technology, pro-democracy, anti-religion. I speak only for myself and not for any ideology, movement, or party. It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.

"If the supernatural were real, then in principle we could study it scientifically and understand it. "
If that were the case then it wouldn't be supernatural.
