I remember watching that film in theaters.

I have respect for Christians only if they really act on the teachings in their New Testament scripture, but so few do. Most are hypocrites.
Sadly, most American Christians are so MAGA the last thing they want is shelter for the immigrant stranger, food for the poor, healthcare for the sick, to love for their neighbor, and to "render unto Caesar" the taxes that would provide for most of these.
The MAGA "Christians" would rather follow their Fuhrer and hate people of color, and anyone with the good sense to know their Malevolent Messiah is an evil sociopath.
Well, they don't read the Constitution either, even though they talk about it all the time. But the Bible is so full of contradictions, they can probably find justification for any behavior they want.
