About Me
- Name: Infidel753
- Location: Portland, Oregon, United States
Individualist, pro-technology, pro-democracy, anti-religion. I speak only for myself and not for any ideology, movement, or party. It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.

Words I needed to hear.
Thanks. The poem caught my eye because it made me think of my time with my mother during her last years. It will probably evoke something different for every person.
I hadn't read this one before but I like it.
Have you ever put a bird back in its nest? I've been able to do that one time in all my years.
Mary K: Neither had I, until I ran across it earlier today.
Mike: No, never done that particular thing. It's a nice metaphor, though.
This is great! I'd never run across this one before.
It's a worthy sentiment, and one many people need to hear.
beautiful!
That's what I thought.....
If I can make one person think twice about something if I can make one person laugh.........
I hope to do those things too.....
