I despise Rachel R. Cannot take her.
The Italian diet has forever been famous for being fantastic.
Hahaha some people are gonna flip when they hear about tofu!
Eat your veggies, kids!
XOXO
A lot can be said for changing your diet to eating healthier to be healthier.
I couldn't watch the first guy for very long. His delivery was unbelievably annoying.
Sixpence: Italian food has long been a favorite of mine. But this is about Sardinia specifically, since that's where the exceptional longevity is.
Mary K: It's worked for me.
Mike: That's unfortunate. Dr Greger is a very valuable resource, and I don't see anything annoying about his "delivery".
Thanks for posting. I enjoyed both videos. Your efforts are having an impact. I never knew that the bacteria in your gut only consumes fiber. Nor did I realize the advantages of sourdough.
Very glad to hear it! I'm learning more and more about food and health all the time, and naturally I want to share some of it here.
I went to his website, nutritionfacts.org, thinking I might find the text of his videos. But his videos are mainly promoting his books. So the text is in the books.
Odd. I've watched dozens of his videos and I don't recall running across even one that was promoting a book. Maybe some do, but evidently not many.
Thank you for the reminder to eat healthy, and you're simply adorable,(lol), but we already know that I'll never give up my cheeseburgers!(lol) Hugs and more hugs, RO
Thanks! I hope you'll be open to learning more about the effects meat and cheese have on human health, and the moral issues involved. There was a time when I wouldn't have thought I would ever give up cheeseburgers either.
I guess it's time for me to restart my effort to create sourdough starter! That cookbook looks worth investigating. Today's NY Times Book Review includes Steven Pinker's review of a new book titled "Extra Life: A Short History of Living Longer," by Steven Johnson, whom Pinker describes as a "writer of popular books on science and technology." While food is not the focus, it looks like an interesting overview of how we reached our current longevity. Pinker calls it "an important book."
Annie: Thanks, I'll have to check that out. Pinker's one of the best writers around.
