Videos of the day -- history coming out
A couple of film trailers that recently caught my attention:
It was not always possible to present certain themes in an honest way. Queen Christina, for example, was the subject of a major 1933 film starring Greta Garbo, but it barely even hinted at her lesbianism and even invented a heterosexual attachment with no apparent basis in fact.
Neither of these movies strikes me as likely to become a major mass-audience hit in the US, though I wish they would -- I can just imagine all the wingnut heads exploding, given their histrionics about even the most innocuous manifestations of popular culture.

Finally, please remember that this is a personal blog whose main purpose is to encourage contact from people with similar interests and world-views to mine. I really don't much care for arguing and debating; if arguing and debating is what you want, there are plenty of other places on the internet which welcome that.
From now until the finalization of the election results, no comments claiming the Republicans (or Democrats) will or can "steal" the election. It's pointless to engage with such stuff, and it promotes defeatism, which makes people less likely to vote or otherwise be politically active.
