About Me
- Name: Infidel753

Individualist, pro-technology, pro-democracy, anti-religion. I speak only for myself and not for any ideology, movement, or party. It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.

Thank you
A terrible loss. He is very much missed.
Visiting the grandkids this weekend, I was told that my 10 year old granddaughter asked her parents about religion, wondering if she should believe in god (neither she nor her brother or parents are believers). Her mother explained that when she is older she could make the choice to join a religion if that's what she really wanted. My granddaughter thought about it, then got back to her mother saying, "I've decided not to join a religion. Besides, Evolution makes more sense."
That's my girl!
Anon: Regardless, the point is the same. Hitchens doesn't really fit into the left/right paradigm.
Shaw: Thanks. And it sounds like your family has its heads on right. I think your granddaughter is safe. If the believers haven't subverted her mind yet, they probably never will.
