About Me
- Name: Infidel753
- Location: Portland, Oregon, United States
Individualist, pro-technology, pro-democracy, anti-religion. I speak only for myself and not for any ideology, movement, or party. It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.

Master race? More like an embarrassment to the human race!
Who told that guy that wearing a boobies T-shirt would be a good idea? Racist AND unrefined. Ugh.
I like the way Diving Nazi is framed between two "no diving" signs.
Where're the Blues Brothers when you need them? I have to say that that article was all rather morbidly fascinating - some of the photographic subjects that stood out for me were the guy who appeared to have half his teeth missing, and that skinny and decidedly morose-looking woman who appeared in a couple of the shots at the beginning (when I saw her, my first thought was, "Meth, it's a hell of a drug!"). The stunned-looking black guy shaking the hand of a KKK member was also a stand-out for me. Nice to see that the rally met some resistance, although I'd have to say that the opposition didn't do their own cause any favours by resorting to vandalism the way that they did. I was bemused to see that the neo-Nazis consider themselves a civil rights group for whites; it puts me in mind of the way a lot of MRAs try to portray their own regressive, hate-filled movement as the MOST IMPORTANT HUMAN RIGHTS MOVEMENT EVAH! (Interestingly, a lot of these individuals seem to be trying to forge alliances with white supremacists nowadays.)
Ahab: If these guys are the pinnacle of evolution, I say we rewind back to the Neanderthals and start over.
Uzza: I think their only member who can read was off duty that day. Based on the guy standing off to the right, that water's pretty shallow -- he may have had a hard landing.
Zosimus: Maybe she chronically under-eats as a subconscious reaction to being surrounded by fat guys all the time? But I agree about the vandalism. The appropriate response to disgusting free speech is contrary free speech. Violence just gives the bad guys the chance to claim victimhood.
Some of the MRA types are fans of SharĂ®'ah law, too. Whatever floats their boat, I guess.
