Try to imagine the living Hell of being
this person, ridden and
possessed by demons of primitive superstition allied to the hatred of people around you, that set you at war with your own nature. Then read as much of the comment thread as you can stand -- immerse yourself in the unique combination of smug, serene, judgmental arrogance and gibberish-clotted Orwellian incoherence that marks the religious mind.
That is the enemy. Read, and understand that this mentality can never be reasoned with, only defeated.

Sorry, I couldn't even make it all the way through three comments. I felt too sick.
That poor man. To go through life despising himself because his religion of 'love' tells him to 'hate' what he is.
My God ... no one should have to live like that. No one should have to live among hateful peers, or be slowly eaten alive by self-hatred. I wish I could tell the author to abandon that toxic circle, abandon that belief system, and find communities that truly love and support him.
Sadly, a lot of Christian communities still demonstrate bigotry non-heterosexual people, and it results in heartache and ruined lives. IT. NEEDS. TO. STOP.
KanaW: I know what you mean. That site is one I regularly look at to keep up with the other side's thinking, but it quickly gets hard to endure.
Ahab: It makes it very easy to see why suicide is still epidemic among gays living in such ignorant social environments. The "loving" haters have blood on their hands.
I've said this hundreds of times: Without religion we would see homosexuals as simply a minority, like blue eyes are a minority in a majority, brown-eyed world.
Homosexuality is natural, like blue eyes. It is a minority, like blue eyes.
One needs only to look at how Native American people dealt with this natural sexual preference.
Hey, that sinful blue-eyed lifestyle is a choice. If they accepted Jesus they could change their eye color:-)
Thanks for the link -- I'll check that out.
