Thanks for those great links. My MIL has a "creepy doll room" in her house. Apparently, when she was growing up they were very poor, so now she collects dolls of every size and style. I sent her the link to the island of "creepy dolls" saying it would be a new vacation spot!

The Geert Wilders story is most interesting. We know Dutch law is different from our own, as we found out in Aruba’s handling of Joran van der Sloot. The prosecutors, in a rare defense of Wilders, pointed out both points of law and the fact that certain of Wilders’ remarks were taken out of context. Another example that court findings require a thorough reading.
Granted I don’t have TV, but I keep up with the news online. So, why is your link the first I’ve heard of the school playground shooting? Oh, cnn.com must have pre-empted that story with coverage of its darling, Sarah Palin.

Lisa G: Dolls can be a tad uncanny if one is not used to them. And one seldom expects to encounter them outdoors.
BJ: European countries don't have free-expression protections as solid as the First Amendment, but they're beginning to grasp the importance of the principle.
I hadn't heard of the school shooting either except on Green Eagle.

I don't know how you do it but this is mighty handy for me and I always look forward to it. You know .... that one clip I sent you about the grass camou guy in your town .... if this guy actually pulled off that job ... it would have been a significant score, even in a big town like PDX. Just that one item of the gold piece's was about a quarter mill.

Also compliment's to Mendip's find from Web Urbanist on the "Valley of the Dolls" ... I didnt even know about this place, however when it come's to this sort of unique art ... Mexico is quite a place ... especially at the end of this month for "Dia de los Muertos" (Day of the Dead) which I really got into big time down there, the pagentry and art is really so cool and festivities, I had done a post a lil while back called "Necrofilia Enamorada" (Necrophia Love" related to it too, and song video from Armando Palomas (excellent songwriter and guitarist in Mexico).

Actually, in the US, the right-vs.-left divide is now mainly a theocratic-vs.-secular divide. I realize that in Europe that's not the case.
Aside from that, I don't quite grasp the thrust of your comment. Hitler admired Islam, and he is widely admired in the Islamic world today. The most significant groups opposing Islam in present-day Europe are parties like that of Geert Wilders, who is really a liberal trying to defend liberal society from Islamic theocracy, and his predecessor Pim Fortuyn was a gay Marxist (despite the media incoherently calling such people "far-right").
The main target of Nazis is the same as the main target of their Muslim brothers-in-spirit: the Jews.
