Who is that masque'd man???
Progressive Eruptions has been doing some more digging around the right-wing blogosphere, and finds it positively aswarm with sock-puppet "bloggers" using pictures and names stolen from real people. One clue that they're all actually written by the same person: the consistent misspelling of "mosque" as "masque". The new report is here; the original "Just Sue" report is here.

I think I know who the masqued man is.... he claims to be a Marine and is a most hateful one giving the military a bad name. Maybe he isn't really a Marine and is just portraying one, maybe he was kicked out of the military and this is his way of venting his anger and hate?? Oh, it's all so complicated...and insane!
Oh, based on all the stuff Shaw's assembled, I think it's pretty obvious who it is -- I just thought it was an amusing post headline.
Who the hell misspells "mosque" as "masque", anyway? That must be an awfully rare quirk. But "masque" is a real word, so his spell checker wouldn't have flagged it.

I had a good chuckle at that clever title, Infidel 753. I saw the post over at Progressive Eruptions. I guess we shouldn't be too surprised that some teabagger type is pulling off this charade. After all, these far-right types have lied repeatedly, and their inability to spell pops up very frequently ("taxis" instead of taxes, etc.). It is no wonder that these types ignore fact and truth and follow monstrous liars like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh instead.
Oh no! People disguised as sea animals, flags, and simpson characters.

SF: As you perfectly well know, the issue is not people using non-human pictures which are obviously not of themselves; it's their stealing the identities of real people.
