It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.

I can sum up my reaction after last night's SOTU this way...
I love President Obama!
He does seem to have nudged Congress forward a bit in its evolutionary path toward the "vertebrate" category.....
I've got analyses coming out the ying-yang. I came looking for YOUR reaction, LOL. BJ
Didn't see it -- no TV. Its real significance lies not so much in what he said as in how effective it will be in rallying the troops and getting action.
