Civics knowledge test

This is a pretty good test of knowledge of our system of govern-ment (found via Cannonfire). I got 30 out of 33 questions right.

Heh,heh,heh..Let me give my redneck assessment and knowledge of our government.."Outdated and confused scratching their swollen head's with their right hand, sitting on their left hand with their thumb's up their asses" Jest a lil holiday humor! :) I'd have every one of them SOB's riding the Metro to work and talking to actual citizens daily to enlighten them on reality. The system doesnt have a damn thing to do anymore with their action's,meaning the "system" has been put on the back burner and ignored. And Obama has the background to do something about it,and the word's during his campaign..this is why I voted for him...now let's see if he is for real..or full of crap, like many other's.

Hmm, the economics presented is open to debate. And I fail to see how knowing about Sputnik is applicable to American civics...

I thought the Sputnik question was odd. Maybe it's historically relevant because it spurred us to get out of the Scopes-trial era and value real science again (we could use something like that now).

By coincidence I also answered 30 out of 33 correctly.

The Sputnik question reveals what it takes for the government to get really interested in education. Sputnik showed that one such factor is a perceived threat to our national security rather than education for education's sake. In that sense, it relates to civics.

I got 28 out of 33. I biffed it on the economic questions, which I'm sure you excelled at. Well, now I know where I'm weak. I'll have to listen to a course on economics. *ugh*
