About Me
- Name: Infidel753
- Location: Portland, Oregon, United States
Individualist, pro-technology, pro-democracy, anti-religion. I speak only for myself and not for any ideology, movement, or party. It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.

The things in that blog post are the things that some of us get uppity or even resentful or angry about with Christianity. It's not like we want to bash someone's religion. We just want to be protected from the adherents to any religion, and protected from having the religion forced on us. For instance, it's hard to send your kids to a public school while worrying about the local churches injecting religion into the school's schedule. I know of no religion other than Christianity, in the US, that tries to "infect" government with religious beliefs. I'm sure Christians would feel the same about other religions if they tried to do the same, like it's an "infection." But they are the "helpful" ones in this country.
An excellent article - Thanks for posting it!
