Robert Haddick at TCS Daily -- who himself does not even support an airstrike to end the Iranian nuclear program -- offers an arresting assessment of the menace which the prospect of an Iranian bomb poses to the Iranian people and the rest of the Middle East. The idea of Iran and its technological partners becoming the target of a terrorist campaign may sound far-fetched, but becomes less so when one considers the deepening of Sunni-Shiite antagonism (I wouldn't put such tactics past the Israelis either -- their survival is at stake). And his discussion of why an Iranian bomb would make a local nuclear war inevitable even if this is not the regime's intention is all too plausible.
