Video of the day -- not one of them is respectable
A clip from the 1973 classic The Wicker Man (note: moderately NSFW audio). This film suggests something of what the true pagan culture of our ancestors might have looked like, had it survived into the modern world. This clip contains some of the elements -- Christopher Lee, cool music, Walt Whitman, and the pagan spirit -- that made it a thing of beauty. If you aren't familiar with the movie and decide to watch it, be aware that it suddenly and unexpectedly turns very nasty at the end. I still consider it a must-see.

No comments advocating violence against any specific identifiable individual, even jokingly.
Please be considerate -- no political or politics-tinged comments on non-political posts, and no performative cynicism. Finally, please remember that this is a personal blog whose main purpose is to encourage contact from people with similar interests and world-views to mine. I really don't much care for arguing and debating; if arguing and debating is what you want, there are plenty of other places on the internet which welcome that.
