Video of the day -- Valles Marineris
A visualization of Valles Marineris, the "Grand Canyon" of Mars (far larger than the Earthly version, at 2,500 miles long). This video was made by JPL in California, based on imagery from the Mars Odyssey probe which has been orbiting Mars since 2001.

That's very cool.
It illustrates the kind of data we can collect by having satellites permanently in orbit around Mars. They're worth keeping.
