The spooky season

The big day is less than a week away now.....
.....party time!

On every street.....
.....especially if there's a good light show.

If you've still got warm weather, then once you've finished walking the dogs.....
.....you can have a barbecue.....

.....and don't forget to invite Broken Peach!

Just remember there's always the one horny guy who gets so drunk he doesn't know what he's doing.

Since it's always raining in Portland, at my place.....
.....I'll just be reading quietly as usual.....
.....next to a warm fire.....
.....contemplating the true reason for the season.

Follow your own path.....
.....whatever it may be.

May enlightenment be yours.....
.....and above all, have fun.

Yay!
I think I like the idea of Halloween more than the actual thing, but hey. I watch scary movies and never ending reruns of the original Twilight Zone (I love it!) And any holiday that promotes chocolate is my kind of holiday.
Love the drawing of that witch with the cold hand. I'd like to have a kiki with her. Bet she knows one thing or two about men...

XOXO

Ha - that skeleton with the fish biting his pubis has me cracking up. Thanks for an inspired Halloween post. Love the imagery here. Just glad Jesusween hasn't become a thing.

I like the dog walkers. It's something really different.

Sixpence: The Twilight Zone was great. Wish I could revisit some of those episodes.

It's a little unusual to find such a good illustration of a witch with the Satanic pentagram (two points up, three points down).

Ricko: Thanks!

Lady M: I can't even imagine what's the real story behind that man-and-fish skeleton, but I knew I had to work it into this post somehow. There are guys who would solicit a blowjob from a piranha if they got drunk enough.

If JesusWeen ever does become a thing, we can rest assured it will be dull, derivative, and devoid of interesting imagery.

Mike: I though that one was funny. Weird how the dog skeletons have ear bones, though.

Well that was fun. :)
You must have been saving some of those images for awhile.
I like the skeleton with the fish stuck on the front.

Halloween has never been my favorite.
My feelings about the holiday are probably colored by the way my mom handled the costume thing in my 7th grade year. The first year I had discovered BOYS and geez, it was so important for me to fit in!

The church youth group was having their party,(no one had heard of jesusween yet!!) she waited until the last minute to buy me a costume. We lived in a tiny little town in Eastern Oregon. Population 1500. One place in town carried costumes. I picked out the one I wanted as soon as they were out on the store shelves, but since we were always broke, it had to wait.

By the time Mom got there on Halloween, all the costumes were gone. The only thing left in my size was Shaggy, from Scooby Doo.

You know, with the flimsy plastic mask and the scratchy seams and the unraveling. Oh, and Shaggy was a GUY and I was in 7th grade and I did NOT WANT to wear that costume.

Traumatized for life, I tell ya.

Yeah, any time I see an at all interesting image on the net, I just download it. I've got almost sixty thousand pictures now on various computers and flash drives. Then once a year I get to use all the Halloween-y ones.

I hope you eventually recover from the effects of your involuntary Shaggy cross-dressing. That would traumatize a person.

My favorite post so far. I love this time of year. Some of those decorations are great. Did you do any Halloween decorating?

Thanks! Actually, these days, the only Halloween decorating I do is decorating the blog with these posts. I think they work well, though.

This is just what I needed this morning! Time to get in the Halloween "spirit."

Yep! The only "spirit" I consider real.
