The original immigrants speak their native language, their children speak a little less and speak more American (and that's is what we speak in the USA), and the grandchildren of the original immigrants speak exclusively American. It's been documented time and time again. So if you are scared that all those brown people are going to ruin this country with their Spanish, your fears are unfounded. It didn't happen with the Germans, or the Italians, or the Chinese, or the Japanese, and it won't happen with the Mexicans.

True (aside from the bizarre apparent claim that "American" is a different language from English), but the relevance of this to the quote escapes me. If you're referring to my objection to illegal aliens, that's based on a great deal more than the issue of language.
If the reference to "brown people" is an insinuation that objections to illegal immigration are based on racism, I've pointed out repeatedly that this is not so, certainly in my own case. Accusing illegal-immigration opponents of racism is merely name-calling in order to evade the real issues. And since we know we aren't racists, it doesn't intimidate us -- it just makes us angrier.
