Thanks! I find his approach to Lovecraft compelling. Much more interesting than most of the cookie-cutter blockbuster movies these days.

I have been reading a collection of Lovecraft's work lately. I've found many of the stories to be hit-or-miss but finding the gems among them has been worthwhile.

BTW, during the Animator's talk he mentioned movies made from Lovecraft's work and one poster was of the movie "Die, Monster, Die". It just so happened that we had taped that movie months ago so we watched it last night. It starred Boris Karloff and Nick Adams and it was awful.

Jack: I suppose some of his stories weren't that good -- it's the great ones that have remained in cultural memory, and that he's know for today.

Ricko: Pretty amazing that somebody could turn The Color out of Space into a bad movie, but after seeing a couple of movies based on Clive Barker stories, I know there's nothing they can't screw up. I hope somebody eventually makes a worthy film of it.

I loved Lovecraft when I was a kid.
