Amazon drones on


I don't think this is gonna work.  They'll get shot out of the sky by gun-toting nitwits who mistake them for alien invasion craft, or snagged in trees, or worse.  They'll scare the fertilizer out of people's dogs.  And I shudder to think what will happen PR-wise if they use them to deliver stuff in Pakistan.

I laughed when I watched the video, assuming it was a hoax. 30 minute delivery indeed! What, anywhere in the world?? But it's featured on the actual Amazon website, so the joke is on me!

Jono: That could happen too. I wonder if Amazon will get sued if someone freaks out and crashes their car.

Scott: They actually have a lot of caveats specifying that the service won't be available everywhere. My guess is, they'll regret giving it such a high-profile roll-out.
